Mavic’s Ksyrium wheels have always stood for first-class aluminium wheel technology. The revised Ksyrium SL follows in the footsteps of the proven Ksyrium Elite and Ksyrium Pro and takes it to the next level with modern features. This front wheel is the perfect all-rounder for anyone looking for a wheel with a reliable on-road performance in all conditions.

Thanks to ISM 4D technology, the system wheel is lighter than the previous Ksyrium Elite – despite its wide rim. This weight tuning removes all excess material between the individual rim drillings, while leaving the rim wall thick enough where the spoke tension and load is highest. Its performance is optimised with the help of Mavic Fore technology. Thanks to special Fore screw nipples, holes in the rim bed are not required here, which improves the strength and stiffness of the rim. In a tubeless set-up, no additional rim tape is required – for more speed, comfort and control.

A revised shape of the rim base makes it easier to mount and remove the tyres. In a tubeless set-up, Mavic’s UST Tubeless technology not only improves rolling resistance and grip, but also reduces the risk of punctures. The Infinity hub platform also optimises stiffness and power transmission while improving spoke tension.

• Maxtal aluminium alloy: Light and strong – this special aluminium alloy offers a better strength-to-weight ratio than conventional 6106 alloys.
• UB Control (Usiné Brut Control): Subsequently machined rim flanges improve braking efficiency and prevent unpleasant brake judder.
• ISM 4D (Inter Spoke Milling 4 Dimensions): Weight tuning in rim production according to the Mavic ISM 4D concept for faster acceleration, more riding dynamics and stiffness, which also reduces air resistance through an aerodynamic rim profile.
• SUP (Soudé Usiné Process): Particularly stable, arc-welded rim joint where the weld of the rim joint is perfectly flat milled for a seamless, smooth transition to achieve balanced rotation without brake vibrations.• UST tubeless technology: The Mavic standard for tubeless tyres not only improves traction, comfort and rolling resistance, but also reduces the risk of tyre defects.
• Fore tapeless tubeless technology: With Mavic Fore Technology, the spokes are connected directly to the lower rim bridge with a special screw nipple in an incorporated threaded receptacle to increase the resistance of the rim. The closed rim bed remains intact as part of the tubeless system. This makes it easy to change spokes and saves the extra weight of the rim tape.
• QRM Auto (Qualité de Roulements Mavic Auto): Smooth-running, double-sealed and maintenance-free industrial bearings with high dimensional accuracy and self-adjusting bearing preload.
• Isopulse: Radial lacing on the drive side and double cross lacing on the opposite side for even spoke tension on the left and right hub flange ensure efficient power transmission, stability and wheel stiffness.
