Modern gravel bikes are virtually predestined for singlespeed drivetrains. And the 12-speed RED 1 crankset by SRAM is just the right tool for you.
As an important component of SRAM’s X-Range technology, it helps shift the gear range from the front to the rear. The result is a lightweight, robust and intuitive drivetrain that, together with an SRAM XPLR 10-44t cassette, offers the ideal gear range for rides on varied terrain. Or you can combine it with a 12-speed road cassette for road races and rides on flat terrain. Because on flat terrain, wider gear ratios are not necessary and mostly just add unnecessary weight.

Specifically developed for electronic shifting, SRAM’s RED 1 crankset impresses not only with elegant Exogram carbon crank arms, but also with the possibility to upgrade it with a powerful power meter whenever you want. With the updated version of the RED 1, SRAM has departed from the previously used spider and now also relies on direct-mount chainrings. Because higher stiffness, easier chainring changes and even more weight savings is something we all like, right?
